Be a good citizen: Articles
Style
- Think encyclopedia article, not magazine article.
- Don't write in first person. Articles will have multiple authors.
- Don't indent paragraphs; leave a blank line between them.
- Cite sources when you can. Show your work.
Conduct
- Don't be quick to delete other people's work. If you think it's wrong, go to the discussion page and start a conversation about it. Meanwhile you can add a brief note to the article explaining why you disagree and pointing to the discussion.
- See both sides. Don't write biased stuff that someone else will come along and want to fix.
- No profanity or rudeness.
- No copyrighted material unless the author is willing to give up ownership. Anything put on this site falls under Gnu license. Anything put here in violation will have to be removed.
- Always fill in the Summary or check the "minor edit" box. Please!
- Always use "Show preview" before "Save page." You will make more errors than you think you will.
Be a good citizen: Discussions
- Unlike the article pages, what you write can't be changed.
- So please use the Preview button!
- No profanity. No abuse of other participants. Disagreement is fine; just be civil.
